1. Create a committee of HIMSS Austin members interested in furthering the education of the chapter, with a four to five member committee that includes the Program Director as Chair (hereinafter “the committee”).
2. The Education Committee meets quarterly and on an as-needed basis. Meetings are to be kept to 1 hour in length with the exception of the first meeting which may be longer, but no more than 2 hours.
3. The Education Committee will develop a plan that includes, but not limited to, luncheon speaker recruitment and selection, the creation of quarterly news that contains a recap of educational events as well as links to local HIMSS relevant resources. .
4. The Education Committee shall help the president plan, drive and implement an annual state meeting.
5. The Education Committee will report back to the board of directors through the chair. Updates will be done on a monthly basis.
