1. Create a committee of HIMSS Austin members interested in recruiting sponsors, with a four to five member committee that includes the Past President as Chair (hereinafter “the committee”).
2. The Sponsorship Committee meets quarterly and on an as-needed basis. Meetings are to be kept to 1 hour in length with the exception of the first meeting which may be longer, but no more than 2 hours.
3. The Sponsorship Committee will determine a plan for sponsorship recruitment that includes, but not limited to, types of sponsors, cost structure, activity monitoring for dues renewal, recruitment letters, thank you letters, recognition structure, recognition updates.
4. The Sponsorship Committee shall also assist the Educational/Programs Committee with an annual state meeting, if held.
5. The Sponsorship Committee will report back to the board of directors through the chair. Updates will be done on a monthly basis.
6. The Sponsorship Committee term is 1 year to serve in accordance with the HIMSS board of Directors calendar year (July – June).
