Description of Topic: Every new clinic that opens under our network is in direct alignment with our mission, which is a commitment to “the energetic and steadfast pursuit of quality, accessible, and sustainable primary healthcare for Central Texas residents, focusing on the uninsured and underserved.”

| | About Our Speakers: Randy Hill has over 25 years of Information Technology management experience including senior IT leadership and Chief Information Officer responsibilities within multiple Fortune 500 manufacturing companies, including leading one organization’s growth from 7 locations in the mid 1980’s to over 100 locations in 1995. Randy has led numerous IT strategic roadmap efforts from creation through implementation including a global SAP deployment in heavy industrial manufacturing and ITIL deployment in a 600 member IT organization. With formal certifications in Project Management (PMP), Information Security (CISSP), and ITIL Service Management (ITIL Foundations and Service Manager) Randy has provided technology leadership in every aspect of Information Services including Project/Portfolio Management, IT Governance, Applications Development, Telecommunications and Infrastructure, Service Desk, Information Security and Database Administration. Relatively new to healthcare, Randy brings a fresh perspective to provide health information technology services to Lone Star Circle of Care, Integrated Care Collaboration and Centex Systems Support Services. Focused on cost effective and creative IT solutions, Randy looks forward to making a real difference in creating value for these organizations and the HIT community.
Troy Dressen has 22 years experience in Information Technology leadership roles, most recently as the CIO for a $3.5B oil and gas company. His healthcare background includes several roles as a volunteer EMT, consulting engagements with healthcare organizations and managing IT operations for a large physician-owned private practice. Troy has both an MBA and an MS in Information Systems and has worked closely with clinical and business operations staff to develop technical solutions for moving to a paperless environment in healthcare. Projects have included system integration, application development, infrastructure deployment, change management and business process re-engineering. Troy looks forward to being able to leverage this experience to help bring increased efficiencies to Lone Star Circle of Care, Integrated Care Collaboration, Centex Systems Support Services and the Central Texas healthcare community.

WASHINGTON – In a meeting held Friday, the HIT Policy Committee approved recommendations by the Privacy and Security Tiger Team that would establish health information exchange credentials and help to protect personal health information.
The 15-member panel of experts comprising the Tiger Team was formed in early June by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC), and was assigned the task of addressing urgent privacy and security issues. Members of the Tiger Team include HIT Policy Committee members, HIT Standards Committee members, as well as members of the National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics.
