Mobile platforms and newer mobile devices are bringing people and the world closer than ever before. The emergence of the wireless world gives governments, healthcare provider organizations, doctors, hospitals and patients a cheaper, faster way to bring affordable health to millions of people across the globe. Software Organizations are in the forefront of leveraging the emergence of application stores as well as ability to use widely available iPhone, Blackberry, Windows mobile, Google Android as well as the Motorola Symbol based devices to build applications that can be easily implemented in hospitals, clinics, doctor offices and use by patients.

Raghu will cover the following in his session:
  • Introduction to the Mobility Solutions world and emergence of the Mobile platform over last 3 years
  • Mobile Solutions for healthcare – Current and Emerging work
  • Demonstrations and case studies of work done in healthcare Mobility.
  • Trends and vision of the future including Possibilities.
  • Additional reference information for interested HIMSS members
  • (Trying to accomplish) – Bring a healthcare practitioner to share his/her experience

Speaker's Background: Jayaraman Raghuraman or Raghu, as he is called by everyone is a software technology executive and entrepreneur with expertise in leading technology organizations and building world class enterprise solutions across the USA, Japan, Brazil, Poland, China and India. As the North American leader for Endeavour Software Technologies, he is helping organizations leverage the fast, emerging power of mobility platforms in use across healthcare, manufacturing, SCM, logistics, media, consumer and I/T organizations.

Raghu is currently engaged in helping Endeavour Software’s customers to design and build healthcare mobile solutions for a variety of uses including hospital management, surgical equipment supply chain, disease management, doctor and patient help, etc. One of his responsibilities includes educating and building partnerships with healthcare provider and non-profit organizations on how they can benefit from building mobile solutions.

Prior to his current role at Endeavour, Raghu spent 3 years as an I/T Director at Dell, Inc in Austin where he was responsible for leading global software teams. Previously, he worked for over 20 years leading various product development teams at Citicorp Software and i2 Software. Raghu holds a Bachelor degree in Science from the University of Mumbai, India specializing in Physics, Math and Statistics as well as a post graduate diploma in Management Studies. He lives in Austin, Texas with his wife, Prabha and 2 children.
